Usher – Scream (Prod. Max Martin) + Lemme See (Feat. Rick Ross) [Prod. Jim Jonsin] + Album News

Usher’s 2nd single “Scream” after his breathtaking performance on “Climax” is disappointing. For “Scream”, he’s gone back to that “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” dance/Euro-pop thing that he’s occasionally into. And that’s cool and everything, but come on man. You’re at the point in your career where you have more freedom to make tracks like “Climax” and work with producers outside of your realm (i.e. Diplo), take full advantage of it. Also, if you’re going at it again at trying to make another club-ready dance anthem, please at least try harder. The beat sounds like it’s been hanging out in David Guetta’s high school hard-drive at his parents house and Usher somehow managed to find it. The third single “Lemme See”, which was just released today, follows a better route thanks to some decent Jim Jonsin production and a verse from Rick Ross. Still can’t help but to think of “Poppin Bottles” when I listen to the beat, though. Both tracks, along with “Climax”, are set to appear on his seventh studio album Looking For Myself due out June 12th via RCA. Stream them both below.
